Daltile Continental Slate Indian Red

Continental Slate Indian Red, 18" x 18", is the everyday format, and it is popular for a reason: it covers ground quickly and still works around fixtures without a pile of offcuts. A matte surface stays reasonably grippy wet and will not throw glare across the room. The density is the point with porcelain: very little water gets in, which is what keeps it stable in a bathroom or a laundry. Worth seeing in person in Mississauga or Barrie, because lighting changes tile more than people expect.
