G-Tile Pantera Matte Porcelain Tile 24" x 24"

G-Tile Pantera is a matte glazed porcelain tile in 24" x 24" (600 x 600 mm), rectified, part of the G-Tile Pantera range. The print runs 12 faces before it repeats, and the shade variation is rated V2.

It is 9.1 mm thick and made in Spain. It is rated PEI 4, which the PEI scale puts at light to heavy commercial wear. Mohs hardness is 7. It is rated R9 for slip, the residential standard on the spec sheet. Glazed porcelain has water absorption at or below 0.5%, so the tile itself does not need sealing.

Each box holds 3 pieces and covers 11.62 sq ft, so a 150 sq ft kitchen floor takes 13 boxes, or 15 boxes with about 10% extra for cuts and spares.

The spec sheet gives no frost rating, so we keep it indoors: no porches, patios or exterior steps. At R9 it is not the tile for a shower floor or a wet commercial area; the spec sheet points those to R10 or higher.
