G-Tile Ontario Graphite Matte Porcelain Tile 12" x 24"

G-Tile Ontario Graphite is a matte glazed porcelain tile in 12" x 24" (300 x 600 mm), non-rectified, part of the G-Tile Ontario range. The colour is Graphite. The print runs 12 faces before it repeats, and the shade variation is rated V2.

It is 7.8 mm thick and made in Spain. It is rated PEI 3, which the PEI scale puts at residential wear. Mohs hardness is 9. It is rated R9 for slip, the residential standard on the spec sheet. Glazed porcelain has water absorption at or below 0.5%, so the tile itself does not need sealing.

Each box holds 10 pieces and covers 19.37 sq ft, so a 150 sq ft kitchen floor takes 8 boxes, or 9 boxes with about 10% extra for cuts and spares.

The spec sheet gives no frost rating, so we keep it indoors: no porches, patios or exterior steps. At R9 it is not the tile for a shower floor or a wet commercial area; the spec sheet points those to R10 or higher. At PEI 3 it is a residential floor tile, not for a commercial floor. It is pressed, not rectified, so plan on a slightly wider grout joint than a rectified tile.
