G-Tile M-Slate White Matte Porcelain Tile 12" x 24"

G-Tile M-Slate White is a matte glazed porcelain tile in 12" x 24" (300 x 600 mm), non-rectified, part of the G-Tile M-Slate range. The colour is White. It has a slate look. The print runs 18 faces before it repeats, and the shade variation is rated V4.

It is 8.5 mm thick and made in Portugal. It is rated PEI 4, which the PEI scale puts at light to heavy commercial wear. Mohs hardness is 7. It is rated R10 for slip, the level the spec sheet sets for commercial use and wet areas, with a wet DCoF of >0.42. Glazed porcelain has water absorption at or below 0.5%, so the tile itself does not need sealing.

Each box holds 7 pieces and covers 13.56 sq ft, so a 150 sq ft kitchen floor takes 12 boxes, or 13 boxes with about 10% extra for cuts and spares.

The spec sheet gives no frost rating, so we keep it indoors: no porches, patios or exterior steps. It is pressed, not rectified, so plan on a slightly wider grout joint than a rectified tile. At V4 the shade moves a lot from tile to tile, so we blend from several boxes as we lay it.

Our own crews install it. See G-Tile M-Slate White at our Mississauga showroom (700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, 905-277-2227) or our Barrie showroom (112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4, 705-726-2272).
