Ceratec Urbano Grigio Matte Porcelain Tile 24" x 24"

A poured concrete floor cracks, stains and is hard to repair. Urbano Grigio gives you the concrete look in porcelain.

In simple terms: Urbano Grigio is a 24x24 concrete look porcelain tile for floors and walls, indoors and out.

It is the matte finish in Grigio from the Ceratec Urbano range.

The actual size is 23.5" x 23.5" (597 x 597 mm). It is 8 mm thick. The edges are rectified, so it can be set with a tight grout joint. The spec sheet lists PEI III surface abrasion rating, a wet DCOF slip reading of 0.55, an R9 slip rating and water absorption of 0.3%. It is rated for light commercial traffic. It is frost resistant. Shade variation is V2, slight. It is designed by Ceratec in Canada and made in Turkey. Porcelain is fired dense, so it handles water, spills and daily foot traffic and the tile itself never needs sealing.

It suits open-plan floors, living areas, basements, shower and bathroom walls and covered porches and patios. Pick it over real concrete when you want the look with no sealing.

Each box holds 4 pieces and covers 15.34 sq ft, so a 150 sq ft kitchen floor takes 10 boxes, or 11 boxes with about 10% extra for cuts and spares. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 8 boxes with the 10% extra included.

It is listed for outdoor use, but an outdoor floor also needs the right base and slope, so ask us before planning it outside. It is rated for light commercial traffic, so keep it out of busy commercial floors.

In this size, Urbano also comes in Bianco and Greige. Grigio also comes in 12" x 24". For edges, Ceratec recommends a 1/2" trim profile.

Our own crews install it, so the people who measure the job are the people who answer for it. See Ceratec Urbano Grigio in person at our Mississauga showroom (700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, 905-277-2227) or our Barrie showroom (112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4, 705-726-2272).
