Ceratec Twist Grey Matte Ceramic Hexagon Tile 6" x 7"

A plain, solid-colour tile is the safe base for a room, since it works with any cabinet, vanity or wall colour. Twist Grey Hexagon is that kind of tile.

In simple terms: Twist Grey Hexagon is a 6x7 ceramic tile for floors and walls, indoors and out.

It is the matte finish in Grey from the Ceratec Twist range. The pattern or piece type is hexagon.

The actual size is 5.6" x 6.5" (142 x 164 mm). It is 8.5 mm thick. The spec sheet lists PEI III surface abrasion rating, a wet DCOF slip reading above 0.42, an R10 slip rating and water absorption between 0.5% and 3%. It is rated for light commercial traffic. It is frost resistant. Shade variation is V1, uniform. It is designed by Ceratec in Canada and made in Turkey. Ceramic has a lighter body than porcelain and is easy to cut. This one is listed for floors as well as walls.

It suits kitchen floors, bathroom floors, hallways, basements, shower and bathroom walls and covered porches and patios. Pick it when you want the floor or wall to sit quietly behind the cabinets and fixtures.

Each box holds 45 pieces and covers 8.04 sq ft, so a 40 sq ft bathroom floor takes 5 boxes, or 6 boxes with about 10% extra for cuts and spares. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 14 boxes with the 10% extra included.

It is listed for outdoor use, but an outdoor floor also needs the right base and slope, so ask us before planning it outside. It is rated for light commercial traffic, so keep it out of busy commercial floors.

In this size, Twist also comes in White. For edges, Ceratec recommends a 3/8" trim profile.

Our own crews install it, so the people who measure the job are the people who answer for it. See Ceratec Twist Grey Hexagon in person at our Mississauga showroom (700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, 905-277-2227) or our Barrie showroom (112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4, 705-726-2272).
