Ceratec Stratford Grey Matte Porcelain Hexagon Tile 7" x 8"

A plain, solid-colour tile is the safe base for a room, since it works with any cabinet, vanity or wall colour. Stratford Grey Hexagon is that kind of tile.

In simple terms: Stratford Grey Hexagon is a 7x8 porcelain tile for floors and walls, indoors and out.

It is the matte finish in Grey from the Ceratec Stratford range. The pattern or piece type is hexagon.

The actual size is 7.2" x 8.2" (182 x 210 mm). It is 10 mm thick. The body is coloured to match the surface, so a chip shows less than it would on a white-body tile. The spec sheet lists a wet DCOF slip reading above 0.42, an R10 slip rating and water absorption below 0.5%. It is rated for light commercial traffic. It is frost resistant. Shade variation is V2, slight. It is made in Italy. Porcelain is fired dense, so it handles water, spills and daily foot traffic and the tile itself never needs sealing.

It suits kitchen floors, bathroom floors, hallways, basements, shower and bathroom walls and covered porches and patios. Pick it when you want the floor or wall to sit quietly behind the cabinets and fixtures.

Each box holds 15 pieces and covers 4.63 sq ft, so a 40 sq ft bathroom floor takes 9 boxes, or 10 boxes with about 10% extra for cuts and spares. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 24 boxes with the 10% extra included.

It is listed for outdoor use, but an outdoor floor also needs the right base and slope, so ask us before planning it outside. It is rated for light commercial traffic, so keep it out of busy commercial floors.

In this size, Stratford also comes in White. For edges, Ceratec recommends a 1/2" trim profile.

Our own crews install it, so the people who measure the job are the people who answer for it. See Ceratec Stratford Grey Hexagon in person at our Mississauga showroom (700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, 905-277-2227) or our Barrie showroom (112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4, 705-726-2272).
