Ceratec Shoreline Terra Matte Porcelain Tile 4" x 12"

Poured terrazzo is ground and sealed on site, and it is hard to fix. Shoreline Terra gives you the terrazzo look in porcelain.

In simple terms: Shoreline Terra is a 4x12 terrazzo look porcelain tile for floors and walls, indoors and out.

It is the matte finish in Terra from the Ceratec Shoreline range.

The actual size is 3.9" x 11.8" (100 x 300 mm). It is 9.5 mm thick. The edges are rectified, so it can be set with a tight grout joint. The spec sheet lists PEI IV surface abrasion rating, a wet DCOF slip reading of 0.65, an R10 slip rating and water absorption of 0.04%. It is rated for commercial traffic. It is frost resistant. Shade variation is V2, slight. It is designed by Ceratec in Canada and made in China. Porcelain is fired dense, so it handles water, spills and daily foot traffic and the tile itself never needs sealing.

It suits kitchen floors, bathroom floors, hallways, basements, shower and bathroom walls, covered porches and patios and commercial floors such as stores and offices. Pick it over real terrazzo when you want the look with no sealing.

Each box holds 30 pieces and covers 9.59 sq ft, so a 40 sq ft bathroom floor takes 5 boxes, and that still leaves about 10% extra for cuts and spares. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 12 boxes with the 10% extra included.

It is listed for outdoor use, but an outdoor floor also needs the right base and slope, so ask us before planning it outside.

In this size, Shoreline also comes in Argento, Bianco and Grigio. Terra also comes in 12" x 12" and 24" x 24". For edges, Ceratec recommends a 1/2" trim profile.

Our own crews install it, so the people who measure the job are the people who answer for it. See Ceratec Shoreline Terra in person at our Mississauga showroom (700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, 905-277-2227) or our Barrie showroom (112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4, 705-726-2272).
