Ceratec Serena Bianco Polished Porcelain Tile 3" x 12"

Real marble etches, stains and needs sealing. Serena Bianco gives you the marble look in porcelain that does not.

In simple terms: Serena Bianco is a 3x12 marble look porcelain tile for dry floors and walls.

It is the polished finish in Bianco from the Ceratec Serena range.

The actual size is 2.9" x 11.7" (73 x 298 mm). It is 9 mm thick. The edges are rectified, so it can be set with a tight grout joint. The spec sheet lists PEI IV surface abrasion rating, a wet DCOF slip reading below 0.42 and water absorption of 0.1%. It is rated for light commercial traffic. It is frost resistant. Shade variation is V2, slight. It is designed by Ceratec in Canada and made in China. Porcelain is fired dense, so it handles water, spills and daily foot traffic and the tile itself never needs sealing.

It suits living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms, hallways away from the entry door, kitchen backsplashes and shower and bathroom walls. Pick it over real marble when you want the veining without sealing or etching.

Each box holds 30 pieces and covers 7.13 sq ft, so a 150 sq ft living room floor takes 22 boxes, or 24 boxes with about 10% extra for cuts and spares. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 16 boxes with the 10% extra included.

It is listed for outdoor use, but we would not put this finish on a patio, steps or a pool deck. On a floor, keep the polished face out of showers and away from entry doors where wet boots come in, because it gets slick when wet. It is rated for light commercial traffic, so keep it out of busy commercial floors.

In this size, Serena also comes in Avorio. Bianco also comes in 12" x 24", 24" x 24", 24" x 48", 3" x 24" and 2" x 2". For edges, Ceratec recommends a 1/2" trim profile.

Our own crews install it, so the people who measure the job are the people who answer for it. See Ceratec Serena Bianco in person at our Mississauga showroom (700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, 905-277-2227) or our Barrie showroom (112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4, 705-726-2272).
