Ceratec Newcon Dark Grey Matte Porcelain Tile 24" x 24"

A poured concrete floor cracks, stains and is hard to repair. Newcon Dark Grey gives you the concrete look in porcelain.

In simple terms: Newcon Dark Grey is a 24x24 concrete look porcelain tile for floors and walls, indoors and out.

It is the matte finish in Dark Grey from the Ceratec Newcon range.

The actual size is 23.5" x 23.5" (597 x 597 mm). It is 9 mm thick. The edges are rectified, so it can be set with a tight grout joint. The body is coloured to match the surface, so a chip shows less than it would on a white-body tile. The spec sheet lists a wet DCOF slip reading above 0.42, an R10 slip rating and water absorption of 0.1%. It is rated for heavy commercial traffic. It is frost resistant. Shade variation is V3, moderate. It is designed by Ceratec in Canada and made in Turkey. Porcelain is fired dense, so it handles water, spills and daily foot traffic and the tile itself never needs sealing.

It suits open-plan floors, living areas, basements, shower and bathroom walls, covered porches and patios and commercial floors such as stores and offices. Pick it over real concrete when you want the look with no sealing.

Each box holds 4 pieces and covers 15.34 sq ft, so a 150 sq ft kitchen floor takes 10 boxes, or 11 boxes with about 10% extra for cuts and spares. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 8 boxes with the 10% extra included.

It is listed for outdoor use, but an outdoor floor also needs the right base and slope, so ask us before planning it outside.

In this size, Newcon also comes in Silver Grey, Taupe and White. Dark Grey also comes in 12" x 24" and 2" x 2". For edges, Ceratec recommends a 1/2" trim profile.
