Ceratec Multiforme Perla Matte Porcelain Tile 24" x 24"

Large tile means fewer grout lines to scrub, and a room reads bigger with them. Multiforme Perla gives you that in 24" x 24".

In simple terms: Multiforme Perla is a 24x24 porcelain tile for floors and walls, indoors and out.

It is the matte finish in Perla from the Ceratec Multiforme range.

The actual size is 23.6" x 23.6" (600 x 600 mm). It is 8.5 mm thick. The edges are rectified, so it can be set with a tight grout joint. The body is coloured to match the surface, so a chip shows less than it would on a white-body tile. The spec sheet lists a wet DCOF slip reading above 0.42, an R10 slip rating and water absorption below 0.5%. It is rated for commercial traffic. It is frost resistant. Shade variation is V2, slight. It is made in Italy. Porcelain is fired dense, so it handles water, spills and daily foot traffic and the tile itself never needs sealing.

It suits open-plan floors, living areas, basements, shower and bathroom walls, covered porches and patios and commercial floors such as stores and offices. Pick it over a smaller tile when you want fewer grout lines; pick smaller if the floor is out of level.

Each box holds 4 pieces and covers 15.47 sq ft, so a 150 sq ft kitchen floor takes 10 boxes, or 11 boxes with about 10% extra for cuts and spares. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 8 boxes with the 10% extra included.

It is listed for outdoor use, but an outdoor floor also needs the right base and slope, so ask us before planning it outside.

In this size, Multiforme also comes in colours including Calce, Carbone, Creta, Malta and Tufo. For edges, Ceratec recommends a 1/2" trim profile.

Our own crews install it, so the people who measure the job are the people who answer for it. See Ceratec Multiforme Perla in person at our Mississauga showroom (700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, 905-277-2227) or our Barrie showroom (112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4, 705-726-2272).
