Ceratec Imperial Stone Charcoal Matte Porcelain Tile 24" x 48"

Natural stone needs sealing and every batch looks different. Imperial Stone Charcoal gives you a stone look in porcelain that stays consistent.

In simple terms: Imperial Stone Charcoal is a 24x48 stone look porcelain tile for floors and walls, indoors and out.

It is the matte finish in Charcoal from the Ceratec Imperial Stone range.

The actual size is 23.5" x 47.1" (597 x 1196 mm). It is 8.5 mm thick. The edges are rectified, so it can be set with a tight grout joint. The body is coloured to match the surface, so a chip shows less than it would on a white-body tile. The spec sheet lists a wet DCOF slip reading of 0.77, an R10 slip rating and water absorption below 0.5%. It is rated for commercial traffic. It is frost resistant. Shade variation is V1, uniform. It is made in Italy. Porcelain is fired dense, so it handles water, spills and daily foot traffic and the tile itself never needs sealing.

It suits open-plan floors, living areas, basements, shower and bathroom walls, covered porches and patios and commercial floors such as stores and offices. Pick it over real stone when you want the look with no sealing.

Each box holds 2 pieces and covers 15.37 sq ft, so a 150 sq ft kitchen floor takes 10 boxes, or 11 boxes with about 10% extra for cuts and spares. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 8 boxes with the 10% extra included.

It is listed for outdoor use, but an outdoor floor also needs the right base and slope, so ask us before planning it outside.

In this size, Imperial Stone also comes in Beige, Ivory, Silver and White. Charcoal also comes in 24" x 24". For edges, Ceratec recommends a 1/2" trim profile.
