Ceratec Gatsby Art Deco Polished Porcelain Tile 24" x 24"

Real marble etches, stains and needs sealing. Gatsby Art Deco gives you the marble look in porcelain that does not.

In simple terms: Gatsby Art Deco is a 24x24 marble look porcelain tile for dry floors and walls.

It is the polished finish in Art Deco from the Ceratec Gatsby range.

The actual size is 23.6" x 23.6" (600 x 600 mm). It is 9 mm thick. The edges are rectified, so it can be set with a tight grout joint. The spec sheet lists PEI III surface abrasion rating, a wet DCOF slip reading below 0.42 and water absorption of 0.1%. It is rated for light commercial traffic. It is frost resistant. Shade variation is V2, slight. It is designed by Ceratec in Canada and made in China. Porcelain is fired dense, so it handles water, spills and daily foot traffic and the tile itself never needs sealing.

It suits living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms, hallways away from the entry door, kitchen backsplashes and shower and bathroom walls. Pick it over real marble when you want the veining without sealing or etching.

Each box holds 4 pieces and covers 15.47 sq ft, so a 150 sq ft living room floor takes 10 boxes, or 11 boxes with about 10% extra for cuts and spares. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 8 boxes with the 10% extra included.

It is listed for outdoor use, but we would not put this finish on a patio, steps or a pool deck. On a floor, keep the polished face out of showers and away from entry doors where wet boots come in, because it gets slick when wet. It is rated for light commercial traffic, so keep it out of busy commercial floors.

In this size, Gatsby also comes in Charleston, Martini and Pearl. Art Deco also comes in 12" x 24", 1" x 3", 2" x 2" and 2" x 4". For edges, Ceratec recommends a 1/2" trim profile.
