Centura Opalo Mosaic Tile

Centura Opalo Mosaic Tile
Centura Tile Opalo is mosaic tile, in a glossy finish. The whole line runs 4.9 mm thick, so it sets level with itself across a room. Mounted on sheets, which lets it bend into a niche or a sloped shower floor, and all those grout lines give grip. Gloss lifts a dark room by reflecting light, and gets slippery when wet. The grout-to-tile ratio is high, which makes it a poor choice for a large open floor. Specified for floor and wall, which lets a single tile run from the floor up.

Why Opalo Stands Out

The smallest tiles in the store do the hardest jobs: slopes, drains, borders and curves.

In simple terms: Centura Opalo is a mosaic tile collection from Centura Tile for floors and walls. Squarefoot Flooring stocks it at both stores and installs it with our own crews.

The range runs in 12" x 12", 12" x 18" and 13" x 13" formats across hexagon and mosaic shapes with glossy finishes. Colourways include Stone Noir, Stone Blanc, Blanc and Noir.

Decision line: Opalo belongs on shower floors, backsplashes and borders, anywhere the surface bends or slopes; field tile covers the big flat areas around it.

Tile is quoted as a whole job here, preparation, waterproofing where needed, grout and labour by our own employed crews, never subcontractors. See how we work on the tile installation page, then come compare Opalo in person at our Mississauga or Barrie store; a full piece under room light reads differently than any photo.

Quick answers about this collection before you buy.

What is Centura Opalo?
Centura Tile Opalo is mosaic tile, in a glossy finish. The whole line runs 4.9 mm thick, so it sets level with itself across a room. Mounted on sheets, which lets it bend into a niche or a sloped shower floor, and all those grout lines give grip. Gloss lifts a dark room by reflecting light, and gets slippery when wet. The grout-to-tile ratio is high, which makes it a poor choice for a large open floor. Specified for floor and wall, which lets a single tile run from the floor up.
Where do Opalo mosaics work best?
Shower floors, backsplashes, feature strips and curves. Mosaic sheets follow slopes and bends that large tiles cannot, which is why shower pans are their natural home.
Do you install Opalo?
Yes, with our own employed installation crews rather than subcontractors, for residential and commercial projects. Tile work is quoted with preparation, waterproofing where needed, and grout included, so the number you get is the whole job.
Where can I see Opalo near me?
You can see it at both Squarefoot Flooring stores, in Mississauga at 700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, and in Barrie at 112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4. A full sample under room light reads very differently from a photo, so come compare it in person before deciding.
