Centura Dorset Taupe Matte Porcelain 24" x 24"

Dorset Taupe is a 24" x 24" porcelain tile from Centura's Dorset range. It is finished with a matte surface that holds light rather than throwing it back. Expect variation of V2, a slight shift in tone between pieces that keeps the surface from looking printed. The 24" x 24" format means fewer joints across a floor, so the eye is not pulled to a grid. Centura tests it at R9, the rating for dry interior floors. Frost resistance means it can be laid outdoors or in an unheated space without spalling through a freeze-thaw cycle. It is approved for floor and wall installation, so wall and floor areas of the same room can be tiled from one order. The edges are rectified, cut square after firing, so it sets with a joint of roughly 2 to 3 mm over a flat substrate. The body measures 9.5 mm. For a colour match, Centura specifies grout 903 - Birch. Boxes hold 5 pieces and cover 19.28 sq ft, or 3.8551 sq ft a piece.
