Centura Cortina Honey Matte Porcelain 8.5" x 10"

Centura lists Cortina Honey in the Cortina range: a 8.5" x 10" porcelain tile. Centura gives it a matte surface that holds light rather than throwing it back. Piece-to-piece variation is graded V4, a wide spread where individual pieces differ markedly, so the tile should be dry-laid from several boxes before it is set. The hexagon format breaks up the grid a square or rectangular tile would give you. Centura tests it at R10, which covers floors that see occasional water such as kitchens, bathrooms and entry halls. The body is frost resistant, which opens up porches, garages, balconies and other areas that drop below freezing. Centura rates it for floors and walls, so one tile can carry a shower wall down onto the floor with no change of material. The edges are rectified, cut square after firing, so it sets with a joint of roughly 2 to 3 mm over a flat substrate. The body measures 9 mm. The suggested grout is 945 - Light Bluff. One box contains 29 pieces, enough for 13.06 sq ft, or 0.4505 sq ft a piece. It contains recycled content, which can count toward LEED material credits on a certified project.
