Why Caboodle Stands Out

For bedrooms, stairs, and family rooms, nothing beats wall-to-wall carpet for warmth and quiet, and the choice really comes down to two things: the pile style and the fiber.

In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Caboodle is broadloom carpet, the wall-to-wall kind that comes on a wide roll and is stretched over a separate cushion for a soft, warm, quiet floor. Squarefoot Flooring carries it and our own crew installs it.

The style and the build: This is a cut-and-loop construction: mixing cut and looped yarns creates a sculpted pattern that disguises dirt and traffic while giving the floor texture and depth. The fiber is PET polyester, which is naturally soft and stain-resistant and often made with recycled content. It is gentler on the budget than nylon and feels plush underfoot, though it is less springy, so it suits bedrooms and lower-traffic rooms more than a busy stair. The standout here is the backing: a LifeGuard waterproof backing that stops spills from soaking through to the cushion and subfloor, so a knocked-over drink or a pet accident stays on the surface where you can clean it. If you have kids or pets, this is the feature to look for. At 55 oz per square yard, the face weight sits in the practical residential range, balancing comfort and cost. At 12 feet on the roll, a standard bedroom or living room seams just once or twice, kept out of the main walking paths. Made in the USA, it also uses recycled fiber. Colours in the range include Balanced, Blonde, Camelback, Connected, Grounded, and Mindful.

It belongs in the soft rooms of a home: bedrooms, family and media rooms, hallways, stairs, and finished basements, where comfort, warmth, and quiet outweigh the need for a wipeable surface. The only rooms to skip are the wet ones, baths and laundries.

Decision line: Caboodle is the soft, value-minded choice, best in bedrooms and lower-traffic rooms where comfort and stain resistance lead.

This installs the traditional way: a separate carpet underpad goes down first, perimeter tack strips hold the edges, and our own installers power-stretch the carpet so it lies drum-tight, then heat-weld any seams so they vanish. Doing the stretch and the pad right is what prevents wrinkles and wear down the line. See our projects for past jobs.

We keep Caboodle at both stores, where you can feel the pile and judge the colour properly. Contact us for stock, see how it works on stairs, or for offices and retail ask about our commercial flooring work. The full Anderson Tuftex lineup is worth a look as well.

Still Have Questions?

Quick answers about this collection before you buy.

What is Anderson Tuftex Caboodle?
Anderson Tuftex Caboodle is broadloom carpet, the wall-to-wall kind on a 12-foot roll, in a cut-and-loop style built on PET polyester. It is stretched in over a separate underpad. Squarefoot Flooring carries it and installs it with our own crew.
Where is Caboodle best used?
Caboodle suits bedrooms, living and family rooms, stairs, hallways, and finished basements, where warmth, softness, and sound control matter. Its polyester fiber is soft and best kept to steadier-traffic rooms. Carpet should not go in wet rooms like bathrooms or laundry rooms.
How is Caboodle installed?
Caboodle is installed by the stretch-in method over a separate cushion. Our crew tacks perimeter strips, lays the underpad, power-stretches the carpet so it stays taut, and heat-seams any joins flat. The quality of the underpad and the stretch is what keeps carpet looking and feeling good over time.
Does Caboodle protect against spills?
Yes. Caboodle is built on a LifeGuard waterproof backing, a moisture barrier that stops spills and pet accidents from soaking through to the cushion and subfloor, so messes stay on the surface where they can be cleaned. It does not make the carpet suitable for a bathroom, but it makes everyday spills far more forgiving.
Where can I see Caboodle near me?
You can see Anderson Tuftex Caboodle at both Squarefoot Flooring showrooms, in Mississauga at 700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, and in Barrie at 112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4. Carpet reads differently across a full floor, so we recommend seeing a sample first.
