Mayfair Calacatta Oro is a 3" x 12" matte bullnose in the Mayfair range. The face gives you a matte face that absorbs light rather than bouncing it. Anatolia grades variation at V2, a slight shift in tone between pieces that stops the installation looking printed. This is a finishing piece: a bullnose closes off the exposed edge where a tiled field meets drywall, a niche return or a step. Anatolia tests it at a DCOF of 0.42, at or above the 0.42 threshold ANSI sets for level interior floors expected to be walked on wet, Class 4 abrasion resistance and Mohs hardness 5. The edges are rectified, cut square after firing, so it sets with a joint of roughly 2 to 3 mm on a flat substrate. The body is glazed porcelain. Made in India.
