Aspen Ash is a 4" x 24" matte porcelain tile in the Aspen range. The face gives you a matte face that absorbs light rather than bouncing it. Shade variation is graded V3, a moderate spread of tone that gives the floor real movement piece to piece. On the residential side that covers kitchens, entry halls and main-floor living areas. Commercially it is specified for retail floors, restaurant and cafe dining rooms and hotel lobbies. The published figures are a DCOF of 0.55, at or above the 0.42 threshold ANSI sets for level interior floors expected to be walked on wet, Class 4 abrasion resistance, a slip rating of R9 and Mohs hardness 7. The edges are rectified, cut square after firing, so it sets with a joint of roughly 2 to 3 mm on a flat substrate. The body measures 10.3 mm. One box contains 10 pieces, enough for 6.35 sq ft.
