Why Guardia Surface Protection Stands Out

The right tile is the one matched to the room's real traffic and moisture, not the prettiest sample on the rack.

In simple terms: Anatolia Guardia Surface Protection is a tile tile collection from Anatolia Tile & Stone for floors and walls. Squarefoot Flooring stocks it at both stores and installs it with our own crews.

Colourways include Rolls.

Decision line: Guardia Surface Protection suits kitchens, bathrooms, entries and busy floors as well as walls.

Tile is quoted as a whole job here, preparation, waterproofing where needed, grout and labour by our own employed crews, never subcontractors. See how we work on the tile installation page, then come compare Guardia Surface Protection in person at our Mississauga or Barrie store; a full piece under room light reads differently than any photo.

Still Have Questions?

Quick answers about this collection before you buy.

What does Guardia Surface Protection do?
It is a multi-layered, reusable mat from Anatolia Tile & Stone that rolls out over finished floors, stairs, countertops and fixtures during construction, protecting them from tools, sharp debris, dirt, paint and spilled liquids while work continues.
How does Guardia stay in place, and is it reusable?
The underside has an anti-slip self-adhesive coating that keeps the mat planted on walkways and stairs without taping edges to the finish. It is built to be lifted and reused, so one set of rolls can protect several phases of the same project.
Should I buy Guardia or Guardia Pro?
Standard Guardia, the grey mat, covers most residential renovations. Guardia Pro, the white heavy duty version, adds absorbency and higher tensile and tearing strength for light commercial sites, long timelines and jobs with constant traffic and liquids.
When should floor protection go down?
Before the next trade arrives. A new hardwood, vinyl or tile floor is at its most vulnerable in its first weeks, so the mat should be laid as soon as the finish has had its initial cure, with a small test area confirmed first on very fresh finishes.
