In simple terms: NewTechWood UH67 Shiplap Siding is WPC composite siding, indoor and outdoor, rated for both outdoor cladding and indoor walls. We carry it and install it with our own team.

The build: This is NewTechWood WPC siding in a flat shiplap profile. WPC means wood-plastic composite: a recycled wood-fiber core wrapped in a co-extruded 360-degree polymer cap, so it carries a real wood look without the rot, warping, splintering, or yearly staining that solid wood needs. The 360-degree cap is the reason it handles the outdoors: it shrugs off rain, sun, and temperature swings, so it works as exterior cladding and just as well on an interior wall. The boards measure about 5.5 in x 0.5 in and come in 12 ft or 16 ft lengths. The surface has a brushed wood-grain finish. The core uses recycled wood fiber, so it is a lower-waste alternative to tropical hardwood cladding. Colours include Ebony, Antique, Brazilian Ipe, Hawaiian Charcoal, Peruvian Teak, and Red Cedar.

Use it for house cladding, soffits, garden and privacy walls, or carport ceilings outdoors, and for feature walls and ceilings indoors. Of these wall products, only NewTechWood is made for exterior as well as interior use.

Installation uses concealed clips on a batten frame, leaving a ventilated cavity behind the cladding and no screws on show. It can run horizontally, vertically, at an angle, or as a soffit, with matching clips and corner trims in the system. Our in-house team builds the substructure and sets the boards so lines stay straight and joints stay tight.
