Red Oak Stair Treads

Replacing worn stair treads or building a new oak staircase is a job where the wood has to match the railing, the floor and itself. Low grade or mismatched treads show every seam.

In simple terms: these are solid red oak treads milled for residential stairs, sold unfinished so you can stain them to match your existing hardwood. They come both sides closed, both sides open, or one side open, in 36", 42" and 48" lengths at 10" deep.

Which one you need depends on the staircase. Closed treads suit stairs boxed in by walls on both sides, one side open works against a wall with an open railing side, and both sides open fits a fully open stair with railings on each side.
