Olympia Tile Marble Calacatta Honed Hexagon Mosaic 2"

A shower floor has to slope to the drain. Small pieces on a mesh sheet are what let the tile follow that slope, and the extra grout lines give your feet more grip.

In simple terms: Calacatta Hexagon is a 2in marble mosaic for floors and walls, indoors.

It is the honed finish in Calacatta from the Olympia Tile Marble range. The pattern or piece type is hexagon. Each sheet measures 12.01" x 12.01", or 30.5 x 30.5 cm.

It is 10 mm thick. It is rated for light commercial traffic. This is natural stone, so shade and veining change from piece to piece. Seal it after install and clean it with a pH-neutral cleaner.

It suits shower floors, bathroom floors, backsplashes and accent strips in a shower. Pick it over a marble look porcelain if you want the real stone and are fine sealing it; pick the porcelain if you want no upkeep.

Each sheet covers 1.04 sq ft, so a 40 sq ft bathroom floor takes 39 sheets, or 43 sheets with about 10% extra for cuts and spares. It is sold by the sheet, so you order exactly the count you need. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 106 sheets with the 10% extra included.

No outdoor rating is listed, so keep it indoors: no porches, patios or exterior walls. Its commercial rating is light traffic, so keep it out of busy commercial floors.

In this size, the Marble range also comes in Bianco Carrara, Verona and Nero Marquina. Calacatta also comes in 12" x 12", 12" x 24" and 3" x 12".

Our own crews install it, so the people who measure the job are the people who answer for it. See Olympia Tile Calacatta Hexagon in person at our Mississauga showroom (700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, 905-277-2227) or our Barrie showroom (112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4, 705-726-2272).
