Elysian Beige Catalan is a 12" x 24" porcelain tile from Centura's Elysian range. The surface is a natural finish, left close to how the tile leaves the press. Centura rates shade variation at V2, a slight shift in tone between pieces that keeps the surface from looking printed. A 12" x 24" tile lays up quickly and leaves less grout to keep clean. Centura tests it at R10, which covers floors that see occasional water such as kitchens, bathrooms and entry halls. It is frost resistant, so it holds up in unheated garages, porches and exterior work where the tile will freeze and thaw. Centura rates it for floors and walls, so one tile can carry a shower wall down onto the floor with no change of material. Rectified edges mean the tile is cut square after firing and will take a tight 2 to 3 mm joint, provided the substrate is flat. The body measures 9 mm. The suggested grout is 903 Birch. One box contains 7 pieces, enough for 13.56 sq ft, or 1.9376 sq ft a piece. It contains recycled content, which can count toward LEED material credits on a certified project.
