Ceratec Galaxy Grey Polished Porcelain Tile 24" x 48"

Natural stone needs sealing and every batch looks different. Galaxy Grey gives you a stone look in porcelain that stays consistent.

In simple terms: Galaxy Grey is a 24x48 stone look porcelain tile for dry floors and walls.

It is the polished finish in Grey from the Ceratec Galaxy range.

The actual size is 23.2" x 46.85" (590 x 1190 mm). It is 10.5 mm thick. The edges are rectified, so it can be set with a tight grout joint. The spec sheet lists PEI III surface abrasion rating, a wet DCOF slip reading below 0.42 and water absorption below 0.5%. It is rated for light commercial traffic. It is frost resistant. Shade variation is V3, moderate. It is made in Spain. Porcelain is fired dense, so it handles water, spills and daily foot traffic and the tile itself never needs sealing.

It suits living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms, hallways away from the entry door, kitchen backsplashes and shower and bathroom walls. Pick it over real stone when you want the look with no sealing.

Each box holds 2 pieces and covers 15.09 sq ft, so a 150 sq ft living room floor takes 10 boxes, or 11 boxes with about 10% extra for cuts and spares. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 8 boxes with the 10% extra included.

It is listed for outdoor use, but we would not put this finish on a patio, steps or a pool deck. On a floor, keep the polished face out of showers and away from entry doors where wet boots come in, because it gets slick when wet. It is rated for light commercial traffic, so keep it out of busy commercial floors.

For edges, Ceratec recommends a 1/2" trim profile.
