Ceratec Flodsten Smoke Matte Porcelain Tile 12" x 24"

Natural stone needs sealing and every batch looks different. Flodsten Smoke gives you a stone look in porcelain that stays consistent.

In simple terms: Flodsten Smoke is a 12x24 stone look porcelain tile for floors and walls, indoors and out.

It is the matte finish in Smoke from the Ceratec Flodsten range.

The actual size is 11.7" x 23.6" (300 x 600 mm). It is 8.6 mm thick. The edges are rectified, so it can be set with a tight grout joint. The body is coloured to match the surface, so a chip shows less than it would on a white-body tile. The spec sheet lists PEI IV surface abrasion rating, a wet DCOF slip reading above 0.42, an R10 slip rating and water absorption below 0.5%. It is rated for commercial traffic. It is frost resistant. Shade variation is V2, slight. It is made in Spain. Porcelain is fired dense, so it handles water, spills and daily foot traffic and the tile itself never needs sealing.

It suits open-plan floors, living areas, basements, shower and bathroom walls, covered porches and patios and commercial floors such as stores and offices. Pick it over real stone when you want the look with no sealing.

Each box holds 8 pieces and covers 15.34 sq ft, so a 150 sq ft kitchen floor takes 10 boxes, or 11 boxes with about 10% extra for cuts and spares. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 8 boxes with the 10% extra included.

It is listed for outdoor use, but an outdoor floor also needs the right base and slope, so ask us before planning it outside.

In this size, Flodsten also comes in Cream, Dark Grey and White. Smoke also comes in 24" x 48" and 24" x 24". For edges, Ceratec recommends a 1/2" trim profile.

Our own crews install it, so the people who measure the job are the people who answer for it. See Ceratec Flodsten Smoke in person at our Mississauga showroom (700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, 905-277-2227) or our Barrie showroom (112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4, 705-726-2272).
