Ceratec Deco Anthology Black Matte Porcelain Tile 8" x 8"

A plain, solid-colour tile is the safe base for a room, since it works with any cabinet, vanity or wall colour. Deco Anthology Black is that kind of tile.

In simple terms: Deco Anthology Black is an 8x8 porcelain tile for floors and walls, indoors and out.

It is the matte finish in Black from the Ceratec Deco Anthology range.

The actual size is 7.7" x 7.7" (196 x 196 mm). It is 10 mm thick. The spec sheet lists PEI III surface abrasion rating, a wet DCOF slip reading above 0.42, an R10 slip rating and water absorption below 0.5%. It is rated for light commercial traffic. It is frost resistant. Shade variation is V2, slight. It is made in Italy. Porcelain is fired dense, so it handles water, spills and daily foot traffic and the tile itself never needs sealing.

It suits kitchen floors, bathroom floors, hallways, basements, shower and bathroom walls and covered porches and patios. Pick it when you want the floor or wall to sit quietly behind the cabinets and fixtures.

Each box holds 28 pieces and covers 11.53 sq ft, so a 40 sq ft bathroom floor takes 4 boxes, and that still leaves about 10% extra for cuts and spares. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 10 boxes with the 10% extra included.

It is listed for outdoor use, but an outdoor floor also needs the right base and slope, so ask us before planning it outside. It is rated for light commercial traffic, so keep it out of busy commercial floors.

In this size, Deco Anthology also comes in colours including Blue, Green, Grey, Taupe and White. For edges, Ceratec recommends a 1/2" trim profile.

Our own crews install it, so the people who measure the job are the people who answer for it. See Ceratec Deco Anthology Black in person at our Mississauga showroom (700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, 905-277-2227) or our Barrie showroom (112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4, 705-726-2272).
