The rating covers both floors and walls, which lets a bathroom or kitchen run the same surface vertically and horizontally. It ships 4 pieces to a box, covering 3.64 sq ft, or 0.91 sq ft a piece. Porcelain is fired denser than ordinary ceramic, which is why it takes on wet areas and heavy traffic that a wall tile would not.
