Under a dining table, pick a size that extends about two feet past the table on all sides so the chairs stay on the rug when pulled out. The detail behind it: It is power-loomed by machine, giving a clean, consistent pattern and a hard-wearing surface at a friendlier price than a hand-knotted rug. It blends polypropylene with polyester, pairing the toughness and stain resistance of polypropylene with the soft hand and lustre of polyester, a forgiving combination for family rooms. A low 8mm pile keeps it sleek and easy to maintain, sits well under doors and dining chairs, and handles traffic without showing wear. Styled contemporary, it suits modern and updated interiors with current colours and patterns. It is woven in Turkey. It comes in colours such as Earthtone, Blue, Ivory, and White.
