COREtec Floors Originals VV458 Vinyl Plank Flooring

Vinyl has quietly become the floor of choice for kitchens, basements, and busy households, and for one simple reason: water does not bother it.

In simple terms: COREtec Floors Originals VV458 is luxury vinyl plank, a wood-look floor that is 100% waterproof and built to take real-life traffic. It is WPC, Squarefoot Flooring carries it and our own crew installs it.

Decision line: Originals VV458 is the warmer, softer-feeling option, a good fit where comfort underfoot is worth a slightly thicker board.

The detail behind that: This is a WPC floor, a wood-polymer composite core that is rigid like SPC but with a little more give, so it feels warmer and softer underfoot and runs quieter, a nice touch in kitchens and rooms you stand in for a while. It carries a 30 mil wear layer, a commercial-grade thickness that shrugs off heavy traffic, pets, and chairs. With vinyl, the mil rating tells you more about longevity than the overall thickness does. Because it is 100% waterproof rather than just water-resistant, you can put it in the rooms that rule out wood and laminate, full baths, laundry rooms, kitchens, and basements. It comes with an attached acoustic pad, which softens sound between floors and means one less layer to buy and lay. Planks run up to 8 inches wide and 72 inches long, a wide-and-long format that reads like real wood. Micro-bevelled edges define each plank for a more authentic look. It is backed by a Lifetime Resilient (defects, wear, waterproof, petproof residential and 10-year Medium commercial warranty. Colours in the range include Bravado Pine, Hempstead Walnut, Keystone Pine, Noble Oak, and Penmore Walnut.
