Rasa Porcelain Tile Collection

Rasa Porcelain Tile Collection
1867 Floors Rasa is porcelain tile and matching trim, in a glazed finish. Every piece in the line is 2cm thick, so nothing sits proud of its neighbour. The pieces in this line are meant to be used together rather than chosen in isolation. The glaze seals the face, so it wipes clean and resists staining. Rated for outdoor floors.

Why Rasa Stands Out

Rasa is a porcelain tile range from 1867 Floors. Porcelain is fired hotter and denser than ceramic, which is why it takes water, frost and traffic that a wall tile cannot, and an absorption rate at or below 0.5 percent is the threshold that defines it. The glaze is fired onto the body and carries the colour and pattern, which is what allows the stone and concrete looks. The range is made in 12" x 48", 24" x 48", 24" x 24" and 32" x 32". A large format like this means fewer grout lines, which makes a floor read as one continuous surface. Rectified edges are cut square after firing, which lets a tiler close the joint to around an eighth of an inch. It suits living areas, bedrooms and bathrooms. Frost resistance means the same tile can carry through to a covered porch or a three-season room.
