Purparket Flooring

Purparket is a Toronto-based engineered hardwood manufacturer producing boutique, small-batch flooring made in Canada. Their product line is focused exclusively on engineered hardwood in European White Oak and North American White and Red Oak, positioned toward residential and commercial projects where construction quality and plank dimensions matter. All Purparket flooring carries a 4mm wear layer, is finished with their proprietary VOC-free PurFlex coating, and is CARB Phase II compliant and radiant heat approved. The PURadria collection is Purparket's European White Oak line, available in smooth brushed, handscraped, rift and quarter, herringbone, and chevron formats at 5/8 inch thickness. Plank widths range from 5.5 inches in smooth brushed to 7.5 inches in the handscraped format, with random lengths running from 24 to 84 inches and approximately 80 percent of each bundle falling between 55 and 80 inches. The core is built from basswood fillets sourced from Canadian and US forests, cross-banded for dimensional stability. Colours in the PURadria line include Honey Harbour, Vapour, Fjord, Ice, Muskoka, Bisque, Capri, Nova, Reef, Napoli in herringbone, Cinder in chevron, Azure, Quarry, Sienna, La Mancha, Catalonia, Sevilla, Bari, Sechelt, Toscana, Astra, Pure, and Ember. The PURnorth collection covers North American White and Red Oak with a focus on longer plank lengths and regional sustainable sourcing. The 4mm wear layer makes Purparket engineered hardwood suitable for commercial applications and high-traffic residential spaces where a thinner veneer would require earlier replacement. The basswood core manages humidity movement better than softwood alternatives, which is relevant in Ontario builds where seasonal humidity swings between dry winters and humid summers can cause movement in lower-quality engineered products. Radiant heat compatibility, combined with the approved humidity range of 35 to 55 percent, makes Purparket a practical specification for new construction projects with in-floor heating. Herringbone and chevron formats are available for feature areas and designer-specified layouts.
