Alloy Porcelain Tile Collection

Alloy Porcelain Tile Collection
Alloy is a porcelain tile range from 1867 Floors made in Spain. A metallic face reads industrial and shifts with the light. Porcelain is fired hotter and denser than ceramic, which is why it takes water, frost and traffic that a wall tile cannot, and an absorption rate at or below 0.5 percent is the threshold that defines it. It is offered in lappato and matte finishes, so a single colour can carry a change of texture across a wall. The range is made in 3" x 12" and 24" x 24". The plank shape can be laid in a running bond or herringbone to draw the eye along a room. Rectified edges are cut square after firing, which lets a tiler close the joint to around an eighth of an inch. It suits walls and floors through the home. Frost resistance means the same tile can carry through to a covered porch or a three-season room.
