The build and the spec: This is a luxury vinyl plank, a hard-wearing wood-look floor that handles real life, and it installs without the mess of glue or mortar. It has a 20 mil wear layer, the sweet spot for busy homes and light commercial rooms, well above the builder-grade 6 to 12 mil you find in big-box vinyl. With vinyl, the mil rating tells you more about longevity than the overall thickness does. It is 100% waterproof top to bottom, not merely water-resistant, so kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, basements, and entries are all fair game. Planks run up to 9 inches wide and 60 inches long, a wide-and-long format that reads like real wood. A low-sheen matte finish keeps glare and footprints down. Painted micro-bevelled edges frame each plank and hide the seams. It is backed by a 25-year residential and 5-year light commercial warranty. Colours in the range include Affinity, Walnut Grove, Cider Barrel, Golden Acorn, and Sesame.
