It has a 12 mil wear layer, enough for normal household traffic in bedrooms, living rooms, and quieter spaces. Water is a non-issue: it is 100% waterproof through the whole plank, which is what makes it the go-to for bathrooms, kitchens, and below-grade rooms. With an IIC rating around 72 and an STC around 73 and an attached acoustic pad, it meets the sound ratings most Toronto and Mississauga condo boards require, which is often the deciding factor in a high-rise. Planks run up to 12 inches wide and 48 inches long, a wide-and-long format that reads like real wood. An embossed surface adds real texture underfoot rather than a flat printed face.
