Drywise Flooring Elemental Water-Resistant Laminate

Drywise Flooring Elemental is a 12mm AC4 rated water-resistant laminate, with a water-resistant core for the spills, pets, and wet boots that come with kitchens, baths, and entries. See it at our Mississauga and Barrie showrooms, or browse online.

Most laminate fails at the joints, not the surface, and it fails first in the rooms that see water.

In simple terms: Drywise Flooring Elemental is a 12mm AC4 rated water-resistant laminate, a floor built to take water in the rooms where that matters. Squarefoot Flooring carries it, and our own crew installs it.

That construction is what lets Drywise Elemental go where ordinary laminate cannot: kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries, and anywhere a spill or wet boot is part of daily life. The range includes tones such as Akita-H, Akita, Nagasaki, Nara, and Nikko.

The build behind that: Drywise Elemental runs a 12mm board on the thicker end of the range, which gives a solid, quiet step and bridges minor subfloor irregularities better than thin planks. It carries an AC4 wear rating, a step above standard that holds up to busy family households, hallways, and main floors. The surface is embossed in register, so the texture lines up with the printed grain and the floor reads and feels like real wood rather than a flat photo. It installs with a Valinge angle-and-drop click system, a glue-free floating install that keeps labour costs down and lets the floor be lifted and reused later. It is rated for 72 hours of surface water protection, which in practice means a spill, a melting ice cube, or a wet boot will not swell the seams as long as it is wiped up in good time. It is backed by a 30-Year residential and 5-Year Light commercial warranty.

Decision line: choose Drywise Elemental for any room that meets water, kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries; for dry bedrooms and living rooms, a standard laminate will also do the job for less.

Our own in-house team installs Drywise Flooring Elemental across the Toronto and Mississauga area, Barrie, and Simcoe County, never subcontracted. A floating laminate is only as good as the floor under it, so we level the subfloor, set the right underlayment, and finish the trim. See our laminate installation page.

A photo flattens the texture, so see Drywise Elemental in person before deciding. It is at both showrooms, you can contact us for current stock, and the vinyl vs laminate guide helps if you are still choosing a material.
